What it is: a tag, for those unfamiliar, is a themed Q & A. Often the questions stay the same as they were when the tag was created. It's an opportunity to invite bloggers to tell us a bit about themselves and their blogs' subject(s). It also highlights these bloggers.
Leanne created a tag which is based around the theme of recycling, reusing, rejoicing. Beauty, food, lifestyle.
Guidelines:
- Mention who tagged you and who the tag was created by
- Answer the questions, add pictures if you can.
- Tag someone else!

What motivated you to become more eco-friendly?
It came a little out of the blue. I was watching a youtube makeup guru, I don't remember which one, and she mentioned a product that was cruelty-free. I remembered how when I was younger I would only buy stuff from the body shop to be cruelty free and it just got me thinking that I should get back in to it. I suddenly felt really guilty for using products tested on animals. From there, the logical step was to try becoming more eco-friendly too.

Do you adopt an ecological lifestyle, or do you stick to green beauty only?
I don't just stick to green beauty - if I'm honest, while I try to make sure things are cruelty free and use green bathroom products, my cosmetics tend to still be chemical-filled. I'm working on this aspect slowly. I think I try to have a fairly ecological lifestyle now. I think about how biodegradable things are, including cleaning products, and I try not to buy food that's been imported because of course it comes on planes and the travel isn't good for the environment, not to mention the pesticides used to keep the food fresh.

Which ingredients are your store cupboard essentials, with many beauty uses?
Coconut oil - for keeping my hair soft and strong and also conditioning my skin. Olive oil - for removing makeup, cleaning skin, and soothing dry lips. Sea Salt - for putting in the bath, creating sea salt hair spray, and exfoliating!

My favourite plastic-free product is:
Hmmm....That's a tricky one. I guess my Dr. Bronner soap in it's paper casing. Very useful for cleaning and they all smell so good!

Leftover batch of cocoa butter. Can't throw it out! How would you suggest I reuse it?
Make lipbalms for all your friends in time for Christmas or their birthdays! Cocoa butter has a really long shelf life of about 2 years so they will keep!

My favourite leftovers (food or beauty) recipe is:
Leftover baked beans with pasta! There's always beans and a load of sauce left after cooking them at ours, and it goes amazingly with pasta!!
My favourite food that's good for my health is... because...
Blueberries! I don't know how good they actually are, but I love them and when I eat them I feel like I'm doing some good, so maybe even as a placebo they're helping!

Is there any beauty or lifestyle product that you make yourself? Tell us about it!
I make my own makeup remover, because I have sensitive eyes. I just use olive oil! Usually I will add water and keep it in a pot, shaking it up each time before I use it. Sometimes I cover my face with just olive oil (you only need a tiny bit!) and then put a hot flannel over it. It seems to clean out my pores. This is great for people with oily skin, because oil is the one thing guaranteed to clean oil!! It won't make your skin worse I promise! People with dry skin like me should only do the oil cloth once a week.

Finally, are there any products which are not so eco-friendly, but you're still struggling to part with them? Tell us.
Washing up liquid! I buy the Asda version of fairy liquid, because I love the smell, but I know it's not good for the environment! I need to make a bigger effort to change this!
And Leanne, I recommend Dead Sea Magik shampoo for build up. It's cruelty free and contains more natural ingredients. Holland and Barrett is the best place to get it!
