Topshop glitter and matte nails - Cruelty Free

I got a Topshop voucher for Christmas, and used it to get 4 nail varnished (it's an addiction!). Here's the first two I've used - "Drink Pink", which is a matte pink, and "Brazil", which is a glitter polish.

They were average price for nail varnish, and there was a 2 for £10 offer, saving you £1 per pot!
 Sparkly!
The matte pink is really bright, and this is actually the first matte nail varnish I've ever tried so I wasn't expecting much really and I thought they would be pretty dull.  The polish still reflects light and looks flashy, but dries to a matte texture - this makes it easier to tell when your nails are dry too!
The glitter is all different sizes and colours, and one coat is enough to get a decent sparkly covering! Perfect for new years eve nails!

Cruelty-free and vegan MUA nail polish from Superdrug

I purchased this on an impulse because it was £1 and I still haven't found a grey nail varnish. I tried it out for the first time about 5 days ago, because I'd had Shellac nails done, and then peeled them off, so my nails were pretty long but looked terrible!

My fingers are all wrinkly, I've been doing the dishes.
I originally put two coats on and was disappointed.  However, I waited for it to dry and tried another coat and voila - looks pretty good! It does end up the same colour as it is in the bottle.

The bumps and patches you can see are damaged nail and bits of Shellac I couldn't peel off. It's lasted 5 days surprisingly well considering I've been at work and been doing cleaning at home today.  The shade is adorably called Koala Bear. I've been avoiding these nail polishes for fear they'd seem cheap (I mean, what can £1 buy you these days?) but it turns out as with all MUA things I've tried, they're actually very good for the price. I've payed more in the past for wore nail varnish!

Have you tried any MUA polishes? What did you think?

I don't think you're ready for this Gelly

Barry M nail polish has to be one of my make-up staples! So many colours, and they're cheap and cruelty-free!

I've been looking for the perfect shade of coral for ages, and I think I may have just found it in Barry M Gelly - Papaya:

What do you think? :)

Summer Nails

I love painting my nails, but am so indecisive that I usually end up doing something like this!

Summery colours, which actually got me a few compliments at work. Here's the nail varnish:
MUA from superdrug in U ROK, Topshop nail varnish in Gone Fishing (I'm not sure they still do this shade, but i love it!), Barry M white which was so old I had to throw it after this :(  Jessica in HappyHour, and Barry m Cyan Blue.

All are cruelty free, and are really good nail varnishes - very little chips and last for about a week!

How do you like to paint your nails? What polishes are you loving for summer?
