Products of the month - February

Happy St David's day, everybody!

Here are the proucts I loved in February

NYX in Rose is keeping my lips bright while the weather dulls around me.

Elemis Cleanser is keeping my skin fresh and smooth while winter does it's best to destroy it!

PHB ethical beauty moisturiser has been essential as my poor dry skin tries it's best to cope with winter.

Barry M eyeliner, which I need to review. So sparkly and bright!

Products I used in September

Inika eyeliner - free in my vegan kind beauty box, it's a really smooth eyeliner and doesn't make sensitive eyes itchy
PHB ethical beauty mascara - I thought the small tube wouldn't last long but it's still going strong!
Natio eye makeup remover - I need to review this, I'm still in two minds about a repurchase
Ned the dog - so good for cuddles and playing fetch, would use again!

October is becoming cold, and I'm wrapped up in winter woolies already! It's almost time to break out the glitter and the moisturising winter treatments. I'm off shopping, I'll be sure to instagram my starbucks @emilycymraeg and remember my twitter is always useful for knowing when new posts go up @EmilyJaneR1988

Favourite products - March

These are the products I've been enjoying this month:

The Lily Lolo Kabuki brush is pretty new to me.  I've been thinking of getting a kabuki brush for a while, and this one is cruelty-free and vegan. Many of the ones I've come across have been bamboo or animal hair bristles. This one is incredibly soft - I will give it a full review soon.

My (boyfriend's) Bulldog facial scrub has been my best friend this month! My skin can not deal with the change from hot to cold weather, and the heating coming on and off. It's getting very dry, and a good facial scrub is essential to keep it from peeling. This is one of the best scrubs I've tried, and although it's technically a men's one, it's cruelty-free, has minimal chemicals, and smells amazing! What's not to like?

Barry M makeup is cruelty-free, and this eyeliner is perfect for spring! If I can't be bothered putting foundation on in the morning, it makes me look like I've made an effort. The "Gelly" nails range is a new discovery for me, as my sister gave me this recently because she didn't like the colour. I love it - it looks like shellac nails. I'm definitely going to get some more of these.

And finally my Gwdi-hw lip balm, in delicious pineapple flavour. I love the taste so much, but even so I don't apply it more than twice a day because I don't need to - it keeps my lips lovely and soft.

My favourites

I thought I'd let you know what products I've been enjoying so far in 2013.

  • MuLondon moisturiser. Mine is Organic Rose, and I am still obsessed with it. It keeps my skin soft, and also reduces some redness. MuLondon is cruelty free and chemical free:)
  • Barry M Lipstick. It's shade 154, and is a lovely nude colour. Barry M don't test their products on animals.  The lipstick glides on and is really smooth with a matt finish. It doesn't last too long on your lips, but Barry M lipsticks aren't expensive so I don't mind re-applying throughout the day.
  • Carmex lip balm.  Carmex don't test on animals, and I NEED lip balm as my lips get really dry and flakey in winter. This month was the first time I've ever tried Carmex and it works really well.
  • Hitachi Hada Crie. I bought this from Japan after reading some blogger's reviews, and I love it!! I can't tell you how much of a difference this makes to my skin! I'm probably going to do a review of this soon, but I sorta want to do it as a video to show it to you properly, so I'm working up the courage. Let me know if you have any questions about it. (You can leave a comment even if you don't have a blogger or google account)
  • Mac concealer.  I know Mac test on animals now, but I purchased this about a year and a half ago, when Mac were cruelty-free. It's the studio finish concealer in NW15. I don't wear foundation as I can't find any in my shade (basically transparent), but concealers and powders tend to be lighter for some reason, so at the moment this is basically the only thing allowing me to go out in public (ha.ha...).
  • Nail file. I don't know where this is from, it was a birthday present last year, but it's so cute and I hate clipping my nails so I always file them when they get a bit too long.
What have been your favourite products so far this year? Let me know in the comment section :)
