Look at that bottle! That's one of the main reasons I got them!! The smell has a kind of citrus hint, although wasn't really lemony or anything specific, but I really like it. It stays on your hair for about a day after washing too, which is nice.
I will say that there were some down sides that I didn't expect from £10 a bottle. The main one being that while the shampoo just glides out, the conditioner takes a little bit of man power to get out, and when the bottle is perfectly cylindrical and your hands are all wet in the shower it can be tricky! My bottle now has these dents in every time I wash, but it can still be a bit of a task! Maybe I need to be less frail? The other negative was that if you leave your hair a couple of days between washes (I sometimes leave mine three - it's not gross, I bath in between, but it's not good for your hair or scalp to be washed every day!) or are prone to greasy hair, or use a lot of hair spray or products, the shampoo doesn't do an amazing job getting your hair clean, it still feels like there's some residue left over. Having said that, this is probably because it's for sensitive scalps so it can't be harsh, and it is actually gentle on my skin! You can also get rid of the residue by doing a vinegar-rinse before the conditioner, although that does sort of make the shampoo redundant.
The pluses are that this is a vegan and cruelty free product! There are no parabens, and they're SLES free!! The smell is really nice, you get just the right amount of bubbles from the shampoo, and the conditioner is pretty great actually. It leaves my hair really soft and manageable. Also, look how cute the bottles are! Vegan and cruelty free shampoo/conditioner that don't look like you brought them at a special chemist. Thumbs up!
I'd say overall, these are pretty good. If you are prone to a flaky or sensitive scalp, have dry or normal hair, and don't normally use a lot of product, I would definitely recommend these.
However, if your hair gets greasy, you use styling products, or you have tiny hands that can't squeeze things (no? just me? ok...) you may want to give them a try, but I'd buy the smaller trial sizes first just to be sure.
Have you tried them? What are your thoughts?
