The Vegan Kind

The Vegan Kind is the first UK monthly subscription box, and costs £10 plus postage. I've always wanted a Glossy Box or similar but want cruelty free products, which is why I signed up for this. It's food and cosmetics and other vegan stuff, basically! :)  Let's take a look in the first one.
Tip - open these green sellotape things first, then open the lid.
Tah-Dah, here is the first look at the first ever one. This letter explains what's in the box

I was very excited about the badge, which I nearly missed! I really like badges!!
SWEETS! Every gummy sweet seems to have pork of beef gelatine, but here are some gummy treats!!
Update - So much delicious cherry and sour flavour!!! If they hurt my mouth a bit I know they're sour enough! Going to have to stock up on these!
This looks good, it's a rich veg stock. I'm going to try it when I make ramen next!
To be honest, this was the worst thing in the box, for me. It's an egg substitute that requires a food processor and can't be used in baking...I'm vegetarian, but I still don't eat eggs apart from in cake because I don't like the taste. I might give it to my boyfriend as he likes to try new foods.

Yey! I've been wanting to try a cruelty-free deodorant with less chemicals in (I use Mitchum at the moment, which chokes me with it's fumes!) but many have bad reviews! So it's great to have a sample to test out first.
Update - This is so good! Wet your armpits a bit or wet the top of the stick, rub on, done! You'll still sweat a little bit but won't smell or feel gross! :) Sorted, and my mum wants one now!
Soapnuts! These look amazing, nuts that you put in the laundry. I make my own washing powder so this will come in handy when it runs low.
Update - I gave these to my sister to try, and she was so impressed she's ordered enough for 200 washes from the website for a grand total of £11.99!! They leave your laundry smelling of "clean"!
I love green tea, so this looks great. Also a white tea with goji berry!

Not much I can say about the products so far as I've just opened the box, but I will add to this review once I've tried them. I was happy with the box, I really feel like I've got my money's worth and like I've been given some good things that have been chosen because they're useful and not just because they're vegan.

Almost forgot - each box comes with a recipe card and after three months you get a folder to keep them all in!

  1. I loved my box. The sweets were gone within about 2 minutes of opening the box. I'd seen a soapnuts demo before at a vegan fayre and having since used them, I'm very impressed.

I always need more green blogs to follow and I really like yours so I've nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award. If you are interested, please go to http://teainthetub.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/the-versatile-blogger-award.html for more info.

    1. Glad I could help! I've ordered myself some now since my home-made soap that I usually use is half way through and I'm too lazy to grate some more haha! My sister still loves them :) x
