Cruelty-free and vegan MUA nail polish from Superdrug

I purchased this on an impulse because it was £1 and I still haven't found a grey nail varnish. I tried it out for the first time about 5 days ago, because I'd had Shellac nails done, and then peeled them off, so my nails were pretty long but looked terrible!

My fingers are all wrinkly, I've been doing the dishes.
I originally put two coats on and was disappointed.  However, I waited for it to dry and tried another coat and voila - looks pretty good! It does end up the same colour as it is in the bottle.

The bumps and patches you can see are damaged nail and bits of Shellac I couldn't peel off. It's lasted 5 days surprisingly well considering I've been at work and been doing cleaning at home today.  The shade is adorably called Koala Bear. I've been avoiding these nail polishes for fear they'd seem cheap (I mean, what can £1 buy you these days?) but it turns out as with all MUA things I've tried, they're actually very good for the price. I've payed more in the past for wore nail varnish!

Have you tried any MUA polishes? What did you think?

  1. I like this shade, it's lovely and subtle :) your nails look in need of a good pamper!! Is there anything you can do to get the Shellac off, perhaps soak them in something? xx

    1. Thank you :) I know, poor little nails! I've got some AEOS nail oil so I'm going to try and revive them with that. You can soak them in acetone apparently for 10 minutes, but that sounds a bit harsh on my nails and especially skin! So I'm just going to take good care of them as they grow out xx
